Wild Slings Les ténèbres L'écorce Wrap (tussah)

In the summer, when you dive in a thick forest, you can feel the pleasant cold of the trees. The tree’s skin is unique; beautiful, irregular from the outside, soft on the inside, perfectly smooth it embeds the trunk. The tree safely grows under its cloak.

L'écorce (French for bark) is the new face of my most symbolic design – les ténèbres. The symbol of an additional protection, that the wrap gives to a child that rests within. Ashen greyness is intermingling with noble smudges of yarn with elements of beige, black, grey, white and pale yellow.

I wondered how to make one side soft like a surface of a lake, and the other as three-dimensional as bark of an old tree with the design showing only from place to place. I decided to combine luxurious, soft and shiny Portuguese cotton and raw tussah.

Together they form an incredible to the touch 275 gsm of an amazing wrap.

L'écorce is:

55% Portuguese cotton,

45% raw jaspe tussah

I must admit it came out perfect.

Natural yarns in beautiful shades of greyness, intertwined with subtle nubs colours, ideal summer blend, that will work just as fine in the winter. Incomparable to any of my other tussah wraps. I always try hard to make each of them exceptional and unique. The only thing they have in common is my priority to make the child, as well as the parent, feel wonderful in it. It doesn’t matter if your child had just arrived to this world, or if it has a few years already, bark will be perfect for you.

Its two faces make it possible to treat each side as a completely different wrap. . L'écorce is a highly limited release.
