"La foret vierge"
(Stone)
Stone.
It is the first time I decided to choose such a blend…
You must be wondering what is the composition of this wrap, what does it feel like.
Take a seat and let me tell you.
Imagine a bright stone found at a sea shore. It’s light grey. The sunlight sometimes makes it pick up the shade of steel. It is also perfectly smooth because water polished its edges. From place to place some grains of sand have stuck to it, each in a different shade – if you look closely, you will see they are beige, brown, blue.
The more you look, the more you see the multidimensionality and multiplicity of colours. The grey stone is unusual, completely different from what you thought it might be when you first picked it up.
“La foret vierge” is the perfect face of “Stone” – a design that is elegant but a bit primal; a herbarium is simply a form of putting order to wildness.
Colourful nubs can be found everywhere, on fern’s leaves, a beetle’s buckler, bumblebee’s wings, flower’s petals.
Their shades are subtle and delicate, but they liven up the greyness, that as you can see, isn’t at all colourless or predictable.
How is it to the touch?
“Stone” is two different wraps – soft as a surface of a lake, the steel side is amazingly soft and has a beautiful, subtle shine.
The other side is more adhesive, with a visible texture of weaving. It is a matt greyness with intermingling smudges of subtle colours. It is sandy and three-dimensional.
I deliberately don’t use the phrase “wrong side” because this wrap only has two magnificent sides.
I again took up a challenge, that is my main purpose in each wrap. It has to be perfect for the child and the parent, knowing how different we are from each other. I believe I managed to meet the challenge again – “Stone “ is a soft and adhesive wrap.
It has a big carrying capacity, strong enough for a few-year-old, and at the same time it is perfect as a first wrap for an infant.
Excellent during heat-waves and also as an all-year-long wrap. Weaved from finest quality, natural yarns, OEKO-TEX 100 certified.
This time I used :
-50% remarkable savage organic Portuguese combed cotton, that you love so much,
-30% bamboo (viscose
-20% jaspe tussah silk.

I decided to change the way we perceive wraps containing higher quantities of bamboo.
It is an amazing, delicate and pleasant to the touch yarn.
Thanks to the way “Stone” has been weaved, the wrap is not slippy and it does not lose any of its terrific bactericidal properties, proper thermoregulation or protection from the UV rays.
Bamboo is a wonderful, ecological yarn because in its production stage, there are no chemical conditioners used, like pesticides.
Who’s behind all of this?
A photographer, designer, tattoo artist. An animal lover, vegetarian, heavy sound enthusiast, aesthete…
But above all, a father of three wonderful kids, a babywearing activist and a supporter of the attachment parenting.
Everything I love became an inspiration to create the Wild Slings.
It’s the first in the world original wrap design studio which enshrines
closeness, expressive design and being eco-friendly.
We use only ethical and certified materials of the highest quality. Wild Slings means: original designs created with passion by a father for conscious modern parents and their children.
