The first wrap in Nordic Slings' new pattern, Saga. The pattern is inspired by the rich Viking age ornaments of the Mammen treasure, found near Viborg, Denmark.
I have, since early childhood, been fascinated by the Vikings - these ancient Scandinavians, whose culture still leaves traces in today's' modern world. The Vikings were famed for being fierce warriors and shieldmaidens, but they were also farmers, skilled artisans, traders and travelers. The word "viking", now used about the people, was actually a verb to them: "to go viking", meant to go on a sea voyage.
Saga Horizon is inspired by the voyages across unknown seas, that took the Viking explorers as far as Caspian Sea, Gibraltar, Iceland, Greenland, and North America (or Vinland, as they called it).
Saga Horizon is made of 100% organic combed cotton, woven from an off-white warp, paired with mouliné weft, spun from two different shades of blue.
The wrap is very soft, and suitable for all. ~ 250 g/m2
