Danishquirks Nornir
50% silk, 50% wool, 220 gr/m2
Naturally beige silk weft on an naturally brown woolen warp*. Herringbone twill weave.
Nornir is named after the ancient Jotun godesses of Nordic mythology, who maintained the Tree of Life, and spun the threads of fate for every man, woman and child in Midgaard. If your lifes' thread was long and even, your life would be long and your troubles few. If, however, the norns' hand trembled while she spun your thread, you might have a more... interesting... time ahead of you.
While the silken threads in Nornir are smooth and soft, the slightly more textured quality of the woolen fibres provides it with grip and comfortable cush. Nornir is easy to wrap with and will only get softer with use. And fear not - all the threads in the Nornir wrap are long, and strong. ;)
Scandinavian ring slings and woven baby wraps in blends of wool, silk and linen.
