Ariadne The Streets of London is our second release from our Mirabilis collection.
The Streets of London will be available in two size 2 and two size 3 slings. It is made with 53% Organic Egyptian Cotton and 47% Non Violent Tsumugi Silk.
The slings in our Mirabilis collection have a high content of exclusive fibres, creating pure comfort and luxury.
Ariadne The Streets of London is woven with an ecru weft on a slate blue grey warp, making one side look either off white or light grey depending on the light, while the other shimmers in blues, greys and slight purples.
The Tsumugi weft is made up from many different silk threads, all harvested after the larvae have left the cocoon, and there are many nubs and slubs all in all colours of the rainbow, all over the sling, adding to the special look and feel.
Ariadne The Streets of London is a thick and supportive wrap with a good grip, very suitable for toddlers and older children. After a little breaking in, it will become very moldable and soft and suitable for babies and children all ages.
There is no review available for this sling, however it does wrap extremely similar to Voronoi Atlantis, which has been reviewed in the group London Sling Company chatter.
As silk is a delicate fibre, it is very important to closely follow the washing instructions. Do not soak, always rinse the washing liquid (even if it's a non-rinse product), dry out of direct sunlight and please let us know if you are unsure.
The draw to purchase Ariadne The Streets of London will open late tonight, Sunday November 6th, and the prices will be as follows:
Size 2: £420 Size 3: £450
London Sling Company is, as our name suggests, based in the Capital of the United Kingdom. We carefully select the finest yarn, paying close attention to the entire process to make sure it's ethically produced. The fabric is woven by a renowned Yorkshire mill and sewn and inspected on location in London.
We will never outsource any part of the production to cheap labour countries, or use cheaper non eco or non ethical resources.
There is some extraordinary craftsmanship behind our slings, and we view each and every sling as a work of art. More importantly, it is an essential tool in our lives, allowing us to do everything from taking out the rubbish with a sleeping newborn to travel across the world with our preschooler close and safe.
We want our slings to be comfortable everyday accessories, and we have optimised every detail, such as thread count and the width of the hem to make sure they can be used for full days, long walks, and far travels. The weave we use reduces the risk of loose threads getting caught, while making the fabric soft enough for close snuggles.
