Matin requires time and work to become the soft floppy wrap that it is capable of being. Initially the silk provides a lot of glide and the cotton is stiff. Washing, wearing and ironing will eventually overcome this, but throughout the process you have a strong, solid and supportive wrap. It is fully reversible with flipped rails.
