Peridot Cyano Curves of Pursuit is subtle geometric pattern woven on our 3 colored combed cotton cyano warp with a zingy acid green combed cotton weft. The gentle color change of the warp perfectly matches the rhythm of the pattern.
This wrap looks equally lovely with either side facing out.
Being woven from 100% high quality combed cotton, this wrap can be used confidently, then slung in the washing machine after a day of outdoor use.
This is a medium weight wrap, weighing in at around 240 gsm, the weave structure that we use making it supportive for heavy toddlers yet gentle on the skin of a newborn.
These wraps have been prewashed and preshrunk meaning that they arrive with you in a buttery soft state, although as with any new item for use with a baby we still recommend that you wash before wear.
Firespiral is the creation of Tamsin and Jen. We are passionate about woven wraps and had a shared dream to one day have our own designs woven. We live in an area with a wonderful weaving heritage and have been lucky enough to work with a very skillful weaving company capable of weaving something really special. Our designs are inspired by the universal patterns in nature that stray into both science and myth; the magical way in which we are connected to the world and its rhythms. We live at the edge of the west pennine moors, surrounded by stone circles, local legend and the wild beauty of the hillside, with the shadows of the cotton mills in the valley below. We feel a real sense of belonging to the ancient landscape and it is from this wonderful place that our inspiration takes shape. Some of our designs are an exploration of naturally occurring pattern, and some could be more accurately described as 'story cloths'. We both have creative backgrounds, Tamsin from an architectural viewpoint and bringing her experience of transforming wraps under the guise of violet chameleon, Jen as an artist and art psychotherapist. We want our woven wraps to be both artistically beautiful and take on deeper personal meanings for their wearers.
