Ethos Toile is getting a makeover with a monochrome colorway! With an embedded (not visible to the eye nor present to the touch) polyester warp and Natty and Black cotton wefts in a pastoral toile pattern, this supportive, 325-GSM wrap features incredible woven microvents in addition to the athletic blend of fibers to produce a sturdy yet breathable wrap, perfect for a wearing experience that allows for air flow and comfort for both wearer and wearee. Toile Noir has a dry texture; it is supportive, grippy, and airy. It has an extraordinary level of detail on the right side, and on the wrong side, the toiles take on a beautiful lacy appearance in a seamless repeating design.
We need approximately 50 meters ordered for this to run.
Place your orders here before 10/26/2017, 11:59 PM MST. The deposit is due by 10/27/2017 at 11:59 PM MST, but if you are able to order and pay sooner, please do: we will be able to place the order for the fabric sooner and have the wraps here sooner that way! Wraps are expected 75-90 days from the date the order is submitted to the mill. Please note that we always strive to get wraps here within the aforementioned timeline, but once the order is placed there could be unforseen delays that are out of our control. These delays are not grounds for a refund of the cost of the preorder.
Deposit is 50% down, nonrefundable but totally transferable (you are responsible for finding someone to take over). Remaining 50% plus shipping due upon delivery of wraps to Ethos. Weaving is more art than science, and some minor cosmetic flaws are possible. Wraps with more significant cosmetic flaws will be sold as seconds and not be fulfilled as first-quality orders.

Whether you call them wraps, slings, or carriers, this is babywearing with a cause. With each limited-edition release, we donate to a worthy charity.
We are a babywearing couple hoping to make a difference in the world with Ethos through charitable contributions and making babywearing a possibility for parents who haven't yet experienced it. Our first child was born in 2014, and babywearing has been a joy, a blessing, and a necessity! We were so excited when we opened the first samples of Dusky Argyle, and baby squealed with delight and dove for them. It's still his favorite wrap.
Dusky Argyle benefited the Carrying On Project. Manhattan Sundown and Manhattan Skyward benefited Siena House, a homeless shelter for pregnant women and their children in the Bronx.
Solace Vesper will benefit Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep, an organization providing photography services for families experiencing the loss of a child.
Our handwovens benefit our artisans' guild in Nepal, which has a charitable mission following the two major earthquakes that rocked the country in early 2015. They have built community toilets and sanitary facilities, community kitchens, temporary and permanent housing, schools, and delivered countless quantities of food and water to stricken areas.
We are located in Northern Utah, which allows us to enjoy hot summers, frigid winters, and brief but beautiful springs and autumns. We are involved in local babywearing groups in our immediate area and beyond.
