We are thrilled to introduce our newest chapter for 2017. Introducing “Alchemy”
Our Alchemy Chapter is a collaboration with out designer Oksancia.
Introducing our newest color way in the Alchemy Chapter- ‘ Homunculus' . Homunculus is woven on an ecru cotton warp and black Eco2Cotton weft. 55% cotton 45% Eco2Cotton.
What is Eco2Cotton? Eco2 is environmentally responsible regenerated fibers and yarns. Eco2 is 'made using pre-consumer fiber and clippings… after the cut and sew process [and] sorted by color, separated [and shredded].’ http://www.eco2cotton.com
Eco2 wraps are thicker than our mercerized and Tencel products and the wraps are very cushy. It will take a little bit of work to break in, but fully broken in will prove to be sturdy, with a bit of bounce and a little stretch. The wrap is solid, moldable, with a bit of grip. Slight nubs and variations in the wrap are normal characteristics of the yarn, and are not flaws. 55% cotton, 45% Eco2 ~373gm2 post wash.
Alchemy is a small tribute to some of our favorite Alchemist brothers, and their friends and comrades.

We welcome you to Cari Slings.
We are a small family business located in North Carolina, creating and manufacturing high quality, boutique style machine woven wraps.
All our products are woven and finished in the US, and we strive to keep our products and labor as local to us as possible. We are working closely with two different mills to provide a variety of wrap designs and hopefully soon, fiber choices. One of mills local to us, keeping with our desire and commitment for growing and sustaining our local economy.
Our wraps are woven solely with natural fibers and we strive to work closely with our mills to create unique, quality textiles that can be handed down to your children's children.
The name Cari Slings is a tribute to my Caribbean heritage. I was born and raised on the island of Trinidad, an island known for its gorgeous landscapes, diversity, culture and food. It is our desire to fuse our Asian and West Indian cultures with American textiles and babywearing practices.
I am mother to three young children, and my husband and I have worn our children since birth almost 9 years ago. Our philosophy is that babywearing is so much more than simply wearing your child. It's a lifestyle, one of keeping our children and family close to our hearts, through our parenting and life choices.
I love and support handmade goods and work at home mothers, for I am one myself. For the past five years, I have been designing and creating handmade garments.
Cari Slings is a combination of my love for babywearing and textiles.
Thank you for joining me on this journey.
