Bijou works with artists to develop our designs; no mill designs 'round here. The process of developing art based on how it will affect wrapping qualities and how it will look wrapped is too much fun to skip. Lianne Simpson-Greco has been workshopping designs with us for a while now ... But when she, with her knowledge as a babywearer about scale and diagonal stretch, got out her brushes, it was nearly a single-draft project. Thank you, Lianne, for this work of art.
The hard part was then developing the textile. There are four distinct weaves achieving four shades of color on this snow white warp. The art translates beautifully, seamlessly, with these capabilities. The Egyptian mercerized cotton warp gives a summery shimmer to this thin (yet incredibly strong and supportive wrap). This is the lowest GSM wrap ever from Bijou, just in time for summer stashes.
