Shannon - ring sling
Macaron is the perfect mix of soft browns, and green-blues. It feels elegant, and the subtle colours make me feel like I could be sitting in a Parisian café... instead of gulping down lukewarm tea in a hurry.
It has a good amount of stretch and with a bit more breaking in it I feel it will be wonderfully mouldable. The grip and texture of Macaron does mean that while the fabric doesn't glide through the rings, once it's in place it stays in place - offering great support on my shoulder, and I experienced no sag with my 4 month old, or my nearly 4 year old.
Overall, it's not a ring sling I'd recommend for newborns or as a first time wearer as I feel it would be overwhelming, but for bigger bubs, toddlers, and those familiar with wraps/ring slings, it would be ideal.
Anthony - size 6 wrap Mako Macaron is beast, but in a good way. Like Laguna, it reminds me of the ocean. But where Laguna is a deep bay on a sunny day, Macaron is the rocky shore after a storm with its blues, greys and foamy whites.
Also like Laguna, it is dense and medium/thick in hand. It will definitely require a fair bit of breaking in to reveal the true potential, but there is a nice horizontal stretch there that promises fantastic cush once this wrap has started to become more floppy.
I wore my two year old in a Front Wrap Cross Carry and a Double Hammock and love the way this wrap supported her weight effortlessly. I would not recommend it for a newborn, especially if you are new to babywearing as it may be a little overwhelming for a new wearer. This wrap will be great for those that are carrying bigger babies, toddlers and beyond

Making sure that Ankalia is made within Australia is important to us. Many manufacturers are obsessed with producing their products as cheaply as possible, which generally means sending their wares offshore to be produced. We wanted Ankalia to be Australian designed, woven, and hand finished, as the babywearing world was calling for a premier Australian product - and we need to be satisfied that our fabrics are made in an ethical manner. Our designs are hand sketched by local artisans, and their trade and skill is transformed into fabrics literally designed to embrace your babies.
