This wrap is called Sine. As all of our Parquet wraps, this wrap is named after an extraordinary woman - Nielsine Nielsen.
Nielsine was the first female academic and the first woman to become a medical doctor in Denmark. She paved the way for other women to enter university As a woman, she could not receive any scholarships and she was not accepted into the student association.
Nielsine wanted to be a gynaecologist, but she counteracted by the first male gynaecologist in the north Frantz Howitz. He believed that a woman's ovaries could not develop simultaneously with her brain. Imagine having him as your gynaecologist
