“221B Baker Street" is based on the iconic wallpaper seen as a backdrop in the BBC series "Sherlock", which is based on Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's characters.
The damask design is one of floral and geometric elements. The weave is satin, the same as our Double Helix wraps. It is densely woven, which proves to be sturdy and provides strong support, and is very soft even in the loomstate. It will only get softer, cushier and more blankety with a wash, iron and use. Being all cotton, the wrap is very easy to care for. The dense yet soft satin weave is perfect from infancy to toddlerhood.
Despite being on the thinner side, it is 300 g/m2 loomstate and is not bulky or heavy in hand. It is no mystery that The Great Detective is a perfect wrap for beginners and experienced wrappers alike. The Great Detective is woven on a natural cotton warp and mercerized black weft.

We welcome you to Cari Slings.
We are a small family business located in North Carolina, creating and manufacturing high quality, boutique style machine woven wraps.
All our products are woven and finished in the US, and we strive to keep our products and labor as local to us as possible. We are working closely with two different mills to provide a variety of wrap designs and hopefully soon, fiber choices. One of mills local to us, keeping with our desire and commitment for growing and sustaining our local economy.
Our wraps are woven solely with natural fibers and we strive to work closely with our mills to create unique, quality textiles that can be handed down to your children's children.
The name Cari Slings is a tribute to my Caribbean heritage. I was born and raised on the island of Trinidad, an island known for its gorgeous landscapes, diversity, culture and food. It is our desire to fuse our Asian and West Indian cultures with American textiles and babywearing practices.
I am mother to three young children, and my husband and I have worn our children since birth almost 9 years ago. Our philosophy is that babywearing is so much more than simply wearing your child. It's a lifestyle, one of keeping our children and family close to our hearts, through our parenting and life choices.
I love and support handmade goods and work at home mothers, for I am one myself. For the past five years, I have been designing and creating handmade garments.
Cari Slings is a combination of my love for babywearing and textiles.
Thank you for joining me on this journey.
