In music Andante means 'at a walking pace.' Steady like a heartbeat. We thought that is the perfect name for our new Advancing Twill weave, a pattern that is created when a twill weave slowly advances in little steps. This is a weave I fell in love with when using Handwoven baby wraps and with the help of the designer at our mill we were able to translate it into a Jacquard weave. This has created two distinct sides, one quite smooth with terrific glide and the other more textured and grippy. It is quite special to wrap with and has amazing cush. Our first release of Andante Nocturne (black with dark but vibrant blue) nearly all sold at the Sling It NW event so we saved the few remaining to release alongside a few other test colourways.

Like a sandy bay hugs the sea, our woven wraps and slings are designed for you to carry your baby safely and snugly. We work with our local weavers in Yorkshire, England to create soft and strong natural fabrics perfect for baby-wearing.
As a family of artists it is our vision to create beautiful artworks and stylish patterns on our wraps. We design each fabric so the images, flow and space in each pattern take on a completed form when wrapped around you and your baby.
Each wrap is carefully sewn by Juliette who is a very experienced seamstress and babywearer. We also design and sell accessories, such as hats and cowls in the same material to match your slings to wear whilst you're out showing your baby the world.
