This fusion of our much-loved Smaug and Oakenshield patterns features the fearsome dragon in fiery colours against a background that transitions from a hint of black coffee to deep, rich burgundy, and finally fading to vibrant bright reds. The characteristic nubs and slubs of the silk weft that speckle the fabric resemble the sparkle from the shields that Smaug sits atop.

Beneath the great beast Elven script translates as, "My teeth are swords; my claws are spears! My wings are a hurricane." This iconic quote, spoken by Smaug himself, echoes the dragon's immense power and the unstoppable force he represents and the challenge facing Thorin and his company.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS: Hand washing is recommended, although a silk cycle on a known reliable machine may be used at your own risk. Use a suitable silk detergent. Hang to dry, avoiding direct sunlight and iron on a cool setting.

This is a unique item that is woven on a Superwash Cashwool warp. Cashwool is a specially spun merino wool that is especially smooth and soft to the touch without any woolly prickle.

Visit Hobbiton by twilight with this beautiful sling that’s ideal for wool lovers. The soft Merino lambswool and cotton weft in kingfisher blue, depict the peaceful village of Hobbiton bathed in starlight. The tranquil, sleepy scene is enhanced by the melange Cashwool warp in shades of dark blue reminiscent of the shadows gathering at dusk.

Kochamy czytać książki, to jest nasz przepis na bliskość zaraz obok chustonoszenia. Nasze serca skradły szczególnie dwie: 'Gruffalo' i 'Dziecko Gruffalo'. Właśnie tak zrodził się w mojej głowie 2 lata temu pomysł na chustę Gruffalo i nie od razu trafił on na żyzne gleby płodnego KosMa Studio. Po kilku próbach u konkurencji, odeszłam od tematu, aż pewnego dnia jadąc samochodem nagle w mojej głowie pojawiła się myśl: 'KosMa Studio! Muszę napisać do Diany, może ona będzie w stanie zapytać tam o możliwość utkania Gruffalo!'. Odpowiedź przyszła szybko, niespodziewanie i dosłownie zwaliła mnie z nóg, bo okazało się, że moje marzenie się spełni. Pomimo, że nie jestem profesjonalnym grafikiem postanowiłam przelać pomysł z głowy na wirtualny papier i tak oto powstał mój pierwszy własny projekt. A teraz najlepsze: dziś, w dzień kiedy rodzi się chusta 'W ciemnym lesie' wypadają 4-te urodziny mojej córeczki, największej fanki Gruffalo.

We love reading books, this is our recipe for closeness, right next to babywearing. Two in particular stole our hearts: 'Gruffalo' and 'Gruffalo's Child'. This is how the idea for the Gruffalo scarf was born in my head two years ago, and it did not immediately find its way into the fertile soil of the prolific KosMa Studio. After several tests with competitors, I moved away from the topic, until one day, while driving, a thought suddenly appeared in my head: 'KosMa Studio! I must write to Diana, maybe she will be able to ask there about the possibility of weaving the Gruffalo!' The answer came quickly, unexpectedly and literally knocked me off my feet because it turned out that my dream would come true. Even though I am not a professional graphic designer, I decided to transfer the idea from my head to virtual paper and this is how my first project was created. And now the best thing: today, on the day when the 'In the Dark Forest' scarf is born, is the 4th birthday of my daughter, the biggest Gruffalo fan.
