Dear Wild Slings' Friends,
Today I want to introduce to you another chapter of our spectacular journey. This beautiful wrap is another piece in my latest collection of no-cotton wraps inspired by spices.
"Les épices" - because that is what this collection is called - is a combination of mystery and a slight hint of extravagance, with a huge pinch of originality.
To add to the uniqueness of the design, I have decided to make only 12 wraps, and there will never be more. These limited wraps have Oeko tex 100 certificates, and are made in France.
The inspiration behind this particular design is thyme; this fragrant herb comes in a wide array of shades of green, and its flowers bloom beautifully in pinks. This led me to creating this stunning wrap. Its primary color is a deep, luscious green, interwoven with nubs in soft shades of pink, brown and beige. A pronounced pattern of trees and forest animals creates a wrap of a calming, soothing nature.
This wrap is made of eucalyptus yarn, which is a soft and silky plant-based yarn with a beautiful, subtle sheen. But Eucalyptus isn’t just great for the environment: this yarn is extremely beautiful, luxuriously soft, and highly absorbent. That makes this yarn perfect for all seasons, especially for hot summer days. The eucalyptus threads are interwoven with tussah silk, which is famous for its extraordinary qualities - it’s soft and strong at the same time. Its beautifully-coloured nubs decorate the entire wrap with a light, mosaic-like pattern. Thanks to this mixture, the wrap works perfectly, tightens well and looks phenomenal all the time. This wrap combines everything that I appreciate in my projects - exceptional softness, flexibility and unique design. It is perfect both for the first reeling of a newborn and for carrying older children - it is load-bearing and roomy.
I weave Wild Slings wraps on my own loom which guarantees them the highest quality and attention to every detail. Every wrap is also steam cleaned before being sent.
