Eik Versailles is woven in Nordic Slings' signature blend of 55% tussah silk and 45% merino wool, the first new release in this blend since 2019.

This blend is legendary for its softness and strength, and my previous wraps in this blend can be difficult to find second-hand, as people tend to hold on to them. Eik Versailles is a limited edition, and I have only made a handful of these items.

Wrap qualities:
The warp in 100% merino wool gives the wrap a slight bounce, while the nubby tussah silk gives a good, balaced grip. The weave wraps like a bandage. The wrap requires virtually no breaking in and will become noticeably softer after the first wash. On Wraptrack, Nordic Slings signature blend wraps from 2019 still hold the all-time
3rd place for newborn as well as all-time 4th place for toddler wraps.

With a GSM slightly higher than the 2019 collection, Eik Versailles will delight you with it's versatility and strength.

Eik Huldra is the second of the two custom wraps made by Nordic Slings for Nasjonalt Bæretreff 2022 in Oslo 10.-11. september 2022.

Eik Minty is a beginner friendly and easy care wrap/ring sling, woven in 100% double twisted organic Egyptian cotton. Washable up to 60°C. Ice cream - no problem!

Like the other wraps in the spring/summer collection, it's a wrap that doesn't need much breaking in before it becomes even more soft and floppy.

Recommended from baby to toddler. For carrying newborn I recommend the wrap first be broken in.

Eik Patience is a 100% Organic cotton wrap, washable at 60 if needed. It's double twisted yarn in an airy single weave, making it a great choice for warmer weather. Suitable for beginners.

Fabulous merino paired with softest Egyptian cotton. Sister wrap (same blend + weave) to our Eik Golden Days.

Nostalgia is a very soft and moldable wrap with a cotton that requires virtually no breaking in. Elegant brown and beige neutral nuances, with a subtle shine. This wrap glides easily in place with light/medium grip and is suitable for beginners.

Deep in the ocean dwells Jormungandr, the Midgard Serpent. Son of Loki and the gigantess Angrboða. Thrown into the ocean by Odin, Jormungandr grew to so large, that he now circles the entire Midgard and bites his own tail. If he ever lets go, the world shall end and be reborn in Ragnarok.

Eik Jormungandr is one of the four custom wraps in the Loki Collection. The participants in the custom have recently received their wraps, but I made a little extra so it is possible to meet Jormungandr and his siblings at Dansk Bærefestival 2019 the 23nd of February.

The goddess Sif, wife of thunder god Thor, had the most beautiful golden hair. But Loke, ever the trickster, decided to play a prank on her. He shaved her head while she was asleep. Not surprisingly, Loke was the only one who saw the joke. Luckily for him, his silver tongue halted Thors desire to strike him dead on the spot, but Loke had to promise to get even better hair for Sif. Sif got her golden hair back - more beautiful then ever, and this time made from real gold, forged by the dwarves.

One day, a giant showed up at Valhalla, promising that he, only assisted by his stallion, could build a wall surrounding Valhalla. If he didn't complete in time - it would be free. If however, he succeeded, the gods should give him Freya, the goddess of love. The greedy gods quickly agreed, seeing no way the giant could complete such an immense task.

But it was no ordinary horse, and as the days went, the gods realized they would lose the bet. They begged Loke, the trickster god, for help. Loke turned himself into a mare, and seduced the giant's stallion, leading it into the woods. Unassisted, the giant failed, and the gods won. Loke, however, had become pregnant and had to give birth to a foal - and what a foal. 8 legs and as swift on land as in air. Sleipnir he was called, and was gifted to Odin, the king of Gods.

Eik Sleipnir is one of the four custom wraps in the Loke Collection. The participants in the custom have recently received their wraps, but I made a little extra so it is possible to meet Sleipnir and his siblings at Dansk Bærefestival 2019 the 23nd of February.

EIK FENRIS //

Fierce wolf or sweet puppy?

When Loke, the trickster god, brought a small wolf puppy to Asgaard, the gods took it in and it quickly became everyone's favorite. But the puppy kept growing - larger and larger. Eventually becoming the biggest and smartest wolf in existence. The gods, scared that the wolf might someday hurt someone, decided to chain it with a magical chain. Only when trapped did it bite, and Tyr, god of War, lost his arm.

Eik Fenris is one of the four custom wraps in the Loke Collection. The participants in the custom have recently received their wraps, but I made a little extra so it is possible to meet Fenris and his siblings at Dansk Bærefestival 2019 the 23nd of February.

He's very soft and I promise he won't bite.

This luxurious high tussah wrap has an almost regal presence. Understated tone-in-tone pattern in deep royal blue highlighted by brilliant specks of bright blue and red. The wrap is extremely moldable, very cushy and soft on the shoulders. Glides into place and stays there with amazing grip that makes carrying heavier children easy. The tussah used in Royal is soft from the very first use and requires no breaking in. This is a wrap that can be used from newborn to toddler, with ease and comfort.

Draw winners will be notified on the 28th of September at 19:00 and have 24h to pay the invoice. Draw help allowed.

*Note that the silk in Eik Royal will have a distinct smell while wet after washing. This is natural, harmless and is caused by natural glue from the silk.

Cooling in the heat, warm in the cold. Wonderfully soft from first use, with a grip that stays in place

The speckled grey weft in Thunder Child is 100% tussah silk, and the midnight blue warp is 100% Egyptian combed cotton. Öeko-tex 100 certified.

Thunder Child is fairly loosely woven in a jacquard satin weave, balancing the grip of the nubby tussah thread, with glide provided by the weave. Both the cotton and silk is very soft, requiring minimal breaking in.

Eik (meaning "Oak" in old norse) is a new design from Nordic Slings, featuring oak leaves and acorns.
