Botanica was hand drawn by our lead fabric designer during the 8 months of lockdown in Melbourne during 2020. It's intricate details are lovingly crafted, in a way that is not often seen in these days of fast fashion and mass-production. It was inspired my family's story of migration and the time my grandparents spent at migrant camps in Bonnegilla and Sale, noticing how strikingly different the flora and fauna in Australia was to that in Poland and Russia. The uniqueness of this fabric reflects the uniqueness of Australian botanicals, and celebrates the wonderful diversity of this continent.
This fabric is an earthy, luxurious blend of cotton, bamboo, lyocell and Belgian linen and is available in our current fabric by the metre pre-order.
