As far as I can remember skulls have always been my favorite motif. As a boy I often daydreamed of sailing the vast, endless ocean under a pirate banner. The childhood fascinations were replaced a few years later by music. We played punk in my first band. Then there was metal, hardcore, rock… Music was everything to me – giving me the incredible feeling of freedom. It became less important when I became a father, but it still accompanied me every day. I am unable to create in silence. Music is always present while I paint, tattoo or take photographs. It mobilizes, calms and fuels me with energy. When I started to think about my wraps, I knew straight away how I want them to be. For me, the design always walked side by side with quality. I decided I will not go for any compromises and, even if it took me a few years, I will create wraps, I would want to buy myself, ones I would be proud of. Wild Slings is my fourth child and this design started the revolution. “Revolution” is the design I dedicated most time – it had to be expressive, rock’n’rolly. But not scary, funny or corny. Classical and yet unique. I drew many sculls before I at last created this one, that became the element of this design. While the wraps were not ready yet, I started to wonder who would become their face. Authenticity is very important to me and “Revolution” is not a wrap for everyone. IT certainly is a design for expressive, distinctive parents. Self-confident fans of good music, motorcycles, alternative art, tattoo lovers. Free people, living by their own rules, not looking at what others think about them. For a few months I searched through various sites looking for someone, who would be just like that. I had a moment of doubt, and when I thought I will not find the perfect face for my design, my wife showed me a photo of a mother from a local group. I thought, at worst she will think I am crazy, but a few months later, with a brand-new wrap and a camera, we jumped in a car and drove a few hundred kilometers to take a few pictures of her. It was just like in a movie – it was an unknown town, but we found not one but a few amazing places and took those photos. The effect exceeded my expectations because the mother you see is not only a wonderful model, she is also one of the most interesting people I met. Thank you for showing us the old sqat – the place you created with a group of fantastic young people, who did something wonderful, despite the differences. A place open to anyone with an open mind. I admire this kind of initiative and envy a little, that I don’t have such interesting memories myself. I am happy to have worked with someone who made the impression as if we knew her forever. With a similar idea of the world, same views… After the shoot we went to a vegan tavern, with a menu not one bit worse than a best French restaurant might have. I am happy I can show you those pictures. I am very proud they came out better than I imagined them to be. “Revolution”, similarly to “Les ténèbres”, is made of an exclusive savage, organic, combed Portuguese cotton, that was not dyed in an aggressive way and is OEKO-TEX 100 certified. There Environment friendly wraps, safe for a newborn’s skin. A little thicker than their predecessors, but just as flexible and pleasant to the touch. Yes, each skull was checked and ironed by me personally, to make sure they reach their new homes in perfect condition. And just like last time, there will be no second grade. There are less “Revolution” wraps, than there were “Les tenebres”, but I always focus on quality first. It will work just fine for an infant as it will for a few-year-old young man.
