Dryad was first drawn by Linda Bikker and entered into the Oscha Slings Facebook group competition for an exclusive wrap. As the design didn't win, but we liked it so much, we contacted Linda and asked if we could develop it for weaving. Linda has been lovely to work with and we're delighted to preview the design now
From Linda about Dryad - 'When I was designing the wrap, I was thinking what I would like to wear the most, and what came to mind was; A SEA OF LEAVES. I liked the idea of that, so I looked at some childrens books and jugendstil artists (jugendstil I love!) to make a complete picture in my mind. After a few attempts I liked the design and send it in for the competition. They asked for something oscha would like, so something with a nature theme was very obvious to me.'
This wrap is 100% combed organic cotton and has been woven in spring green and a darker pine green. It weighs approx 260gsm and will be listed on the site this evening in limited numbers.
At Oscha Slings we produce beautiful, high quality wrap around slings (wraps) & ring slings that are carefully designed and developed for you to carry your baby. Our fabric is woven in the UK and Ireland, and then hand-crafted into babywearing slings in Scotland.
