Each individual thread in Sorten Muld are spun from a black and an ebony thread, resulting in a wrap that has an deep, dark earthy colour. Depending on the surrounding light, its appearance can change from deepest black, to dark ebony. The name "Sorten Muld" means "Black Soil". Unlike pure black, which can somtimes be harsh next to pale skin, the off-black colour of Sorten Muld is gentler, and more flattering to lighter skin tones.
Natteravn Sorten Muld is woven from 100% Super100 merino wool. Super100 is a measurement of fineness of the fibre, S100 wool is just 18.5 microns in diameter, which makes for a very soft and even thread. Being made from smooth long fibres, the wrap has a delicate shine and hardly any wool prickle. Requires no breaking in. Very limited supply.
