The Autism Awareness puzzle is the most recognized symbol of the autism community in the world today. The colors of the puzzle remind us that there are no boundaries with autism and represent not only those with autism, but also their families and friends. Today, approximately 1% of the world’s population has autism. The puzzle itself represents the mystery and complexity of autism and the struggle to find the missing pieces.

We have named this wrap “Pieces Fit” because we believe that each person with autism has a special place in our communities and our world. Every child and adult has something to offer to those communities, and one day all of the pieces will come together.
It is our sincere hope that this wrap helps, even in a small way, to bring awareness of autism to the forefront. Each of these individuals is not simply a person with autism — but a person wonderfully created, and deserving of respect and love, who also happens to have autism.
This wrap will carry children who have autism and allow them to take a break from the world when they need to just get away. We also hope that this wrap will help children to stay engaged with the world, but at their own pace, being near those who bring them the most comfort. We want to exclaim that, “This child is just the way he/she is supposed to be!”
