The Vikings believed that Yggdrasil was the axis of the universe connecting all dimensions, and their view of the symbolic tree of life is not isolated. The cosmic tree motif is known in many other cultures and communities, among which it is worth mentioning, for example, the Celts and Slavs. Although the interpretations of the symbol differ slightly, in each case the Tree of Life is interpreted as a sign of immortality and a continuous circle of life. Like Triquetra, Yggdrasil represents the symbolism of the number 3. Roots can represent the past, tree trunk present, branches future or birth, death and rebirth respectively.
