A subtle, light toned sequel to our brighter jewel kente woven wrap. Our kente collection is our take on the beautiful Ghanaian (African) design. It's a fresh infusion of ethnic elegance and cultural sophistication into the babywearing scenery. More about the history of the Ghanaian kente.
Our kente timbre like our other woven wraps are woven here in the north of England but these are specifically woven on the Hattersley loom which is one of the oldest jacquard looms around (Note that this weaving style differs from that of our SMP noir, aurantiaco and Marguerite). As a result there are thread skips specific to the way these old looms work. These cosmetic flaws will not affect the safe day to day of your wrap. As a double weave, the weave structured is double layered which offers a unique durability that is hard to find in other woven wraps.
50% combed cotton 50% Egyptian cotton. Loomstate and untreated. Suitable for toddlers and with a good washing and steam ironing, it will be tender enough for babies.
