Diese Tücher werden von den Hochlandmayas aus Guatemala bis heute, auf traditionelle Weise, an ihren Hand- und Hüftwebstühlen gewebt.
Bitte beachtet, dass es herausstehende Fäden, Schlaufen usw. sind KEIN Reklamationsgrund sind, Echte Handarbeit eben!
Die Tragetücher besitzen aufgrund ihrer Webart wunderbare Bindeeigenschaften. Diamantköper ist Diagnonalelastisch und in der Länge und Breite schön stabil.
Die Tragetuchmitte ist mit einem Mittelpunkt markiert und hat abgeschrägte Enden für einen schönen Abschluss.. Selbstverständlich sind auch die Kanten doppelt umnäht.
Alle Girasol-Tragetücher sind waschbar bei 60°,dürfen gebügelt werden und auch mal den Trockner.

We originally planned to go on a journey in Central America for 6 month, but it grew into a 2 years stay.
There remains among us a lasting affection for the region and a special loveof the Indians of Guatemala.
We started selecting cloth, textiles and handicrafts on the markets of the Guatemalan highlands to sell them in Mexico and later in Germany.
Our shop in Berlin opened 1984.
Through our continous stays in Mexico and Guatemala, we developed friendly relations to the families of the weaver and artisans.
The collaboration with the artisans is based on fair trade with the guarantee of continous orders.
