Diva Milano Barocco Lions Libellula is one of the models of the Sky Collection (winter 2013/14), produced as a woven wrap and a ring sling, made from cotton/hemp blend (80% cotton and 20% hemp). It has sky blue cotton warp and brown hemp/cotton blended weft.
Barocco Lions pattern is a new pattern by Diva Milano, specially developed to carry a baby in a wraparound sling. It is soft straight from the box - gentle enough to cushion a newborn, but with a jacquard weave ensuring full support for toddlers.
The fabric with hemp is medium-soft new, medium-thin, medium-dense and has a very good support. Hemp is close to linen in its qualities but less silky and requires a bit more wearing to soften the fabric. These slings are recommended for babies from 6 months and are especially good for heavy kids.
Only Egyptian cotton is used in production of Diva Milano wraps. This is the finest and most expensive type of cotton with extra-long staples, usually produced by luxury brands' bed linen and clothes, often mixed with silk. This cotton plant produces long, thin fibers that won't pill. Threads are light but strong, silky and soft. With proper care, baby wraps from Egyptian cotton will last several decades, which justifies a higher price tag.
