We are so proud to introduce you to Sweetheart “Deep Purple”

We wanted to make something as special as possible to take along to the Wear All The Babies conference in Brisbane this month. So we decided to do three things: to show the aroha (love) with our Sweetheart design; to showcase a new blend using a unique NZ spun yarn; and to express our belief that every dedicated parent deserves a purple heart for valour!

This is the second release of our Sweetheart design, a variant of the bold and classic looking Walters. This limited edition was named for the richly purple and luxurious weft yarn, which is a divine mix of merino, Brushtail possum and silk. This very special blend, woven across a cotton warp, offers you a wrapping experience of softness, strength, breathable warmth and comfort.

Beautifully soft and blankety, with silky glide and gentle grip, Deep Purple is impressively lightweight & soft in hand and requires little to no ‘breaking in’ effort. At approximately 330gsm post wash it is wonderful from squish to toddler, supple and supportive, yet holds a carry without budging.

Each of the fibres lovingly woven into this quad blend lend their own gorgeous qualities: cotton, merino, possum, and silk…delicious don’t you think?! And, as far as we are aware, Deep Purple is the first machine woven babywearing wrap featuring possum to ever be released.

Brushtail possum is the first new natural textile fibre to be used in over 100 years. We feel it is very special and know that it is not yet commonly known, so we will go into greater detail about it for you in a separate post in the next few days!

Deep Purple will be officially released on Sat 22nd at WATB in Brisbane, available as an exclusive to attendees. We have endeavoured to cut a range of sizes from this limited release, in very small numbers of each.
