Located in the Isles of Scilly the dark jagged rocks and surrounding green grasses have influenced the colours for this small geo.
Our Yaks, like our merinos, feature our acclaimed WW luxury finish meaning they do not require a bath upon arrival to wear, but will benefit from one. Natural undyed baby yak. An everyday wrap in a stunning melange caramel with a background of the darkest navy. A bit of linen for air, a touch of cashmere for luxury, a chunk of baby yak for perfection. Suitable for all.

The project was woven by Eseasons team according to the pre-order. The warp -- thin cotton from MBrassard, ikat technology dyeing by Eseasons team. Three wraps: 1. Violet tsumugi silk . Composition -- 50% cotton 50% tsumugi silk . 270 g\m2 2. Blueberry tsumugi + 8\2 black cotton from MBrassard. Composition 25% tsumugi silk 75% cotton. 294 g\m2 . 4.8 m. -- 624 euro 3. Gray, charcoal and navy tsumugi silk + chocolale yak\merino. Composition 15% yak, 15% merino 30% tsumugi silk 40% cotton. 297 g\m2. 4.5 m. -- 652 euro All wraps have the wrong side and the front side. It is an open secret that we we were inspired by Japanese culture. We called this release Aikido because we want to show our high respect and show the course of our thoughts . We hope that we do not offend anyone in this case. We contacted to the International Aikido Association and are now awaiting an answer. If we get objections from them we will be ready to call our release by another name.

Just like the spring – the team at yako yako is slowly waking up as well. And even though cold weather seems to be having a comeback, we have managed to get great pics of our newest wrap from the merino collection. This photoshoot was extra special because the pics were captured in our grandmother’s yard. She often talked about how women used to wear their babies during her time and she even showed us how it was done.
To us, the rustic red colour of the merino yarns breathes tradition and evokes folk elements, so we went ahead and played with it a little.
Find it in the heart woven wrap is crafted from superwash merino, weaved into cotton at 50%/50% ratio, which makes it strong but soft and comfy too, with its medium thickness.
The weaving density comes to app 340g/m2 post wash.

The wraps are woven of 100% GOTS certified organic cotton yarns, produced by an european spinning mill, that also holds the Fairtrade certification.
The weaving density comes from 300g/m2 to approximately 340g/m2 after washing. It is very supportive for toddlers, but becomes buttery soft for newborns after the first wash.
The wrap comes with an original yako yako handmade backpack and a little booklet with the wrapping instructions.

The Queen Of Treasure is the very first Yako Yako creation, crafted with the highest quality linen weaved into super-combed cotton resulting in a wrap, which despite the high ratio of linen yarns does not wrinkle as much. Linen yarns create a cooling effect while making the wrap uneven and harder to the touch.
The wrap comes to 280g/m2 post-wash and contains 48% linen.
The cotton used is certified organic (GOTS and OEKO-TEX Standard 100 cl.I.)
This wonderful wrap is recommended for mommies with wrapping experience.

Morning mists announce the inevitable arrival of fall, the season of coats and warm sweaters.
This is the perfect time to purchase baby wraps made of wool.
Why is merino wool the perfect winter material?
Merino wool is a natural fibre. It’s soft, almost silk-like to the touch.
Whether it’s added and weaved into a cotton warp in baby wraps or used as a functional base layer – merino wool has the following characteristics:
*Thermoregulation (it creates optimal body climate; the wool perfectly regulates the microclimate between body and fabric)
*Hydrophobic characteristics – it transfers moisture and sweat (since the fibres are hollow, the moisture either evaporates right away, or is stored in the fabric until it has a chance to evaporate)
*Antibacterial characteristics
*Breathability
*UV Protection
yako yako baby wraps are weaved with a mulesing free merino wool. Superwash treatment guarantees safe machine wash (using wool programs), tumble drying and ironing.
Note: Wool is a protein fibre, which draws harmful bacteria, while preventing their decay and reproduction. This means, that wearing the wool does not result in odour – the only thing it needs, is to let it air out.
