A new design in the Loombera Slings collection!

A springtime refresh. As always, magical symbols, our adoration for the starry sky, the mystical moon and the goods of mother nature, have been smuggled into the latest pattern called STYRKUR.

We opted for simplicity and created a wrap woven from 100% Egyptian cotton, to give it a soft and fluffy feel, it has been double woven.

Do you know why we are so keen to use Egyptian cotton to weave our slings?

Genuine Egyptian cotton is a rather unique type of cotton. It is only grown in a specific place - the temperate climate and fertile soils of the Nile delta. Its original name is gossypium barbadense, and it is also known as extra-long cotton. The growing conditions here are so perfect that the cotton has evolved over time to form longer and longer fibres, which is a great advantage because it means that the thread produced from the fibre is thinner than other types of cotton, and this results in products containing more threads.

Egyptian cotton becomes softer and more pleasant to the touch over time and after each wash.

This pattern is a harbinger of more to come inspired by the cosmos and its power!
