This project is a custom project from the 5,000 likes giveaway. The warp is hand painted 8/2 combed cotton. Here is what the mama has to say about her inspiration for this piece.
"The inspiration photo behind this wrap is of a picture taken of me right after my rainbow baby, Sage, was born. My 3 year old daughter, Elisa, was reaching the end of our nursing journey; however, Sage and I were just beginning ours.
This photo was taken by Little Bitty Pretty One Photography in order to capture the many ways babies receive their nutrients. Our way was a tandem story. The beginning of one story, yet the closing of another. This time marks a bittersweet moment in my life. The feeling of proving the emotional and physical nutrients through the bond of breastfeeding has always been magical for me. Yet so many aspects are especially difficult: the tandeming, meeting the needs of a new baby, adjusting to meet the needs of a preschooler in other ways than breastfeeding."

Blue Steel is a hand dyed 10/2 combed cotton warp in a gradient from blue to grey.

The reflection of the city lights from skyscrapers and cars and the flashes of the colours of umbrellas and ladies skirts and bouquets of flowers being sold under the awnings on the corners.... All reflected in the rain puddle, which some small child will happily jump in with their rubber boots.

Urban Rain Puddle is a hand painted 5/2 mercerized Egyptian cotton warp and will use a crackle draft from Crackle Weaves by Ralph E. Griswold.

I love creating rainbows. This project came out really bright and vibrant, perfect for summertime.

I have loved collaborating with my friend Katie on this project. She lives near Reno, and attends The Great Reno Balloon Race every year. She says that for that 3 day weekend every September she is like a kid with her eyes wide and a grin from ear to ear. We tried to capture all of the colors of the balloons framed by the bright green grass of the field and the stunning blue of the sky.

The warp for this project is 5/2 unmercerized combed cotton that has been hand painted in pink, coral, orange, garnet, burgundy and plum.
