The Honorable Ringed Kingfisher is made of our double faced weave Geo designs in a linen/cotton blend. The weft is made from a bright Kingfisher Teal Linen sitting next to a bold cherry Egyptian Cotton. The weave is double faced, sitting on top of a white Egyptian Cotton warp making this a bright, dense, and smooshy wrap.
The Hon. Ringed Kingfisher will arrive to you unfinished. The linen threads appear to have some movement but with washing, steam ironing, and some use you will see the wrap transform as the threads will thicken and plump up, and in time she will become a floppy, soft wrap. The Hon. Ringed Kingfisher will shrink after her first wash, but she has been deliberately cut long to account for this and will also lengthen out as she is broken in. The Hon. Ringed Kingfisher is approximately 272 gr/m2 (after washing and breaking in) and is a cushy medium weight.

My vision for wraps wasn’t simply to introduce another wrap to the market. Woven Wings Baby wraps are woven in the UK in a renowned Mill specialising solely in bespoke high-end quality textiles. Established since 1720 working in collaboration with luxury Fashion houses and couture designers they produce fabrics that are of the highest quality and demand. Fibres are carefully and ethically sourced, and all yarns are dyed in-house allowing for one-of-kind colours. Some of my wraps will feature our non-chemical luxurious finish which makes them blankety soft straight out of the bag and requires no breaking in.
